The constant and indispensable use of the hand, the need to find the right balance between rehabilitation care and the patient's need to use it, mean that this district requires the presence of a specialist, who only takes care of the hand.

In addition to physiotherapy intended as exercises, mobilization, reinforcement, bandages, manual and occupational therapy, I make thermoplastic braces directly on the patient's hand, one of the most useful tools for us hand therapists. Depending on the pathology, they can be worn during the day to support and stabilize the joints or only at night to rest the tendons.

I specify that the braces are not a product like the prepackaged ones bought, but part and tool of the rehabilitation program, such as glasses, which need to be tailor-made for that person and vary according to the pathology, so the braces do not they can be packaged only on 'request', without having the prerequisites for their use. They are made in a few minutes without the need to take measurements because they are modeled from a thermoplastic sheet directly on the patient's hand.
